We're going to Yogi again for the weekend. Hopefully it'll be in our new TT. We sign the papers for it tomorrow and then schedule a walk through date. I'm shooting for a walk through and pick up on June 15.

It's a 33' 2008 Forest River Salem LE. It's brand new, a left over. It has everything we wanted. We found it at Crossroads RV in Newfield. I'm going to Stones RV tomorrow to get a bigger Equalizer hitch. The one I have now is only rated for 6000lbs. and the Salem has a dry weight of 6600lbs.

Here's the link for the trailer.

I'll let you know if they treat us right at the walk through so you'll know if they're worth dealing with. So far they've been good but the walk through is where there true colors will show. I've already brought a few minor issues to their attention and they said that they'll take care of them. One issue, a dent on the outside siding, can't be fixed. We'll see if they are willing to compensate us for the dent.

I'm going to tell them that I belong to a couple of RV forums and I'll be happy to put in a good word for them if they treat me right. And I will. If they give me a hard time, you'll know about that too.

Our Prowler is at Stone's RV right now. It's on consignment because we don't have a place to store it and show it. We can only fit one trailer in our drive at a time.

We picked up our new trailer today. Walk through was a breeze. After the brief run down I looked around and found a few things wrong. All of them were minor and all of them got fixed. They didn't fix the bathroom door frame. (It wasn't plumb) but they fixed the door so it shut. That's good enough for me. They would have to re-frame the doorway to fix it.  I also got a $200 credit toward anything in the catalog because of the outside dent. We're thinking of putting it toward a power tongue jack but a slide topper has crossed my mind as well.

So far Crossroads RV has done well. I wouldn't have any problems buying from them again. Here's their site...

It wasn't worth it to trade our Prowler in. As spotless as that thing was the trade in was still very low. We paid 10k for it last year with a NADA of 12k. Now the NADA is 5k.:( We're listing it for 7k hoping to get 6500. We're throwing the Equalizer hitch and the RV cover in with it. I didn't need the hitch, I had to upgrade to a 10,000/1000lb model because the old one was only rated for 6000/600lb

The Prowler? It's a Prowler Lynx 829s. It's 4300 dry(6500 gross) and 30' long. (technically it's 29'11" as per the book). The only issue we noticed is a soft spot and staining on the floor after we took up some carpet we laid down for my son to play on. The sales rep said it might be from a water leak? We've never had a water leak in that trailer...ever. So I don't know what to tell you about that. Everything else looks new and it was well taken care of.

Here's the listing...
