We're heading out for the first weekend in December.  Any one else wanna go?  We usually go with 4-5 others from up North Jersey.  It's fun, sometimes hot, sometimes cold.

whats the temp usually like??? We would like that but last year we winterized in NOV cause most places weren't open to camp. We are use to Florida where we could camp all year long :) We are hoping to get some winter trips in but don't want to pay to winterized ...then unwinterize then winterize...etc... Any suggestions?

Winterize per your schedule and just plan to use the CG bath house.  Thats what we did last year in Hershey.

We wont be able to make the first weekend...but we do have reservations for the 2nd weekend...12-14th...thats the weekend my sister will have her kids.

Correct...once winterized you will not have use of any of your onboard water facilities.

We winterize after, if at all. I usually drain and blow lines out and hook up to the 100lb big tank at home, that way we can take trips when we want. you can fill at Hershey when you get there if you so choose.

How did Hersey go??   We so wanted to go there.......If you just drain and blow out the lines can they still freeze / break can't they??   I know you could let them thaw before using water and all but we ended up putting in the antifreeze just to be sure

They said it was going to be a bad winter (according to Farmers almanac)

we just got back from Hershey.  Bit cold..wouldnt have been bad had the house heater actually been working!!!  We had a space heater for 1st night...just got a 2nd one and all was good the 2nd night.

We got there after hours. We were supposed to be on the hill, but the Mrs. thought that was a bit far from the restroom...as only the main one was open.  So we moved a few rows over..right next to playground.  Was dark and took about 20 minutes to get backed in...I'm still new at this...;)  Got trailer dropped..then plugged in and realized that the power was turned off for that section...!  so moved down to Woodland section with pull thrus.  Plenty of open spaces and made sure the space was available.

The next morning went to check in...woman behind counter actually seemed frustrated and annoyed when we mentioned we moved to be closer to restrooms..

but after that turned out to be a nice weekend...ice skating in Hershey Arena...got into the Sweet Lights for free...apparently somebody in front of us had an extra voucher...

We've already been talking about going back in February...just to go out again.

There were a couple campers there that looked like they have been there for quite awhile...like seasonals in the off season.   Hershey doesnt mention seasonal prices...wonder how they do it.  One camper had a wood pile almost as tall as my truck!

Sounds like fun. I would guess you were by 78B. I had the same electric problem, wife even had the slides out! They had piles of leaves on the hill as well. All in the name of adding one site..... There was atleast 30 rigs when we got there friday night parked down the hill. Only one up top, US. I did see some that looked they had been there a while, maybe workampers. I wish we had sweet lights for free... One thing ilearned is buy the tickets for everything at the campground, better prices and it's the same as the group rates.

As a matter of fact...it was 79B :q   The whole B line was out of power....walked along plugging my portable fan into each post.  The 79 line had power...but at point the Mrs. had just came back from the bathroom...again only one open was at office...when i told her we had to move she said "Good, we're moving back down the bottom."  That friday night...there was only about 1/2 dozen others there.
