We are going to be at Promise land state park in PA  for about a week starting July 26 to Aug 3rd.

Its water and electric only.  2 lakes to fish in.. plenty of trails to explore, Nice sites

and they just opended up a second electric area. (still gravel)

We are staying in the  Lower Lake  Beechwood section.

We stayed there for a weekend last fall...wasnt too busy which was nice as it was our 2nd trip with our TT.  As long as your not looking for a lot of provided activities its a nice place.  We also stayed in Beechwood section...FYI there is not water at each site...

Oh yah we love it up there and go every year! We love it more during the week time ( hehehehe) My Husbands been going since he was a Boy and his family rented a small cabin just outside the park, then his family started RVing. Now we are following in the family foot steps.

We love to Fish and Canoe and go on walks and sit by the campfire ( I even like cooking over it) So this place gives us what we need for that week. The North Woods section just had electric put in last year and we marked the sites we liked over there also. But we got lucky and got our favorite Site again this year!! :)

we just returned from there on Wednesday. Even stayed at Beechwood. How do you like the pull throughs they put in at either end? The bath house is really nice also. This is the first time they have a laundry also. We did see the new sites at Northwood. They even have pull throughs also. For anyone interested Pickrel Point is closed for renovations right now.

ok...maybe someone here can answer this...those pull thru sites had "hang bars"...bar comes out of the ground and then makes a right angle turn about 7 feet off the ground...almost like a shepards hook..but not curved.

What are these?

Those are to hang lanterns on for night light at your campsite. Why I don't know you do have electric in each site.
