This place ...well lets say its a really good place for kids.....We had a goodtime here and it was lots of fun for the kids with a mini water park and rodeo and western town,  fishing, great if you own a boat to!! marina ....pool.....it was just very family friendly.   I have to say though ....people rave over this place and I think it was nice I would go there again but I thought it to be a little stuffed in like sardines and very very very crowded for my personal taste.

I like a little more room when I'm camping and they has like 0 space your neighbors which I have nothing against mind you but when you can pass them a tissue from your picnic table if they sneeze is a little too close for me......if you had small kids I could see it being a hardtime trying to get them down as you would here everything from next door and behind you too.

I think it was great for a weekend type thing but I wouldn't personally stay for a long trip.    If I had the kids just for a weekend of fun...it would be great but for just me and hubby we like a little more naturey LOL

We're looking at this park for a week of vacation next summer possibly. Thanks for the info.

You echo my thoughts on Frontier Town...We only did a drive through and just from that I could tell it was a place I had no desire to camp at. Way too crowded for me and way too much going on. I like a quieter campground. We highly recommend Fort Whaley, their sister campground. They offer the same benefits as Frontier Town, but the sites are much bigger and it is much quieter there. The downfall is that it is about 10 miles west of Frontier Town. We don't mind the drive and have stayed here for the past three years. We were just there last week and we booked for next year so that we are guaranteed a good site.

Your feelings are why we only stay here in the spring and the fall.  usually have no direct neighbors which makes it nice.

Just a word of warning...If you want a full hookup site at either you should probably think of booking now. We booked our site for next year at Fort Whaley before we even left this year. We got a nice big site in the trees for next summer.

We stayed at Frontier Town and I have three children 13, 5 and 4. I must stay the campsites were nice and clean, a little close. The water park was a big let down, My 13 has autism and doesn't do the rides, so he was interested in the lazy river which was nice and their big wading pool was only 12 or 18 inches deep. My five year enjoyed it, but the three sides that were together in the begining of the park were very rough on the feet going down, we opted not to do those again. The other two were a lot nicer. My 4 year old is a hair over 42" tall, but their measuring stick showed him less than 42" so he could not go on any of the five water slides they had, but I did sneak him on a couple of the bigger two with me.

Maybe since I grew up in NE PA, I know what a water park is, and Frontier Town isn't one. A little bit of a let down for me.

Dan

its not a "water park " more as it is a pool with some slides but at least it is a little more then a regular pool...kids seem to enjoy it in this park. I again think it would be better in spring or fall as stated above

We went here last summer and reserved for 2011. We'll be on a waterfront site for a week. We really enjoyed this place.
