We had a great time here.   We went to an RV net rally and meet lots of great people

Beverly there was really helpful (as was everyone of the staff)...they put us all way in the back which would have to have a golf cart to get around cause its a big place but it was pretty nice over all.

We got to do all the battlefields and stuff and had a great time.

We're heading here on the 22nd. Got a streamside site. Looking forward to it.

OK, we were at Geyytsburg Campground from August 22-29 and we thoroughly enjoyed the place. We were along the stream (site 209) which was tranquil and clear with a rocky bottom that looked like it probably harbored a lot of crayfish. Never did find the time to take our four year old down to the stream to catch anything because we found ourselves so busy doing everything else. Battleground tours (one on a bus and one on our own with a CD), 8 different museums, walking tour, shopping, eating - there's plenty to do and we tried to do it all! Sites at the campground were gravel and seemed pretty level, ours was very much so. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and well-maintained. Staff were excellent! Every single staff person was friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the all-you-can-eat crab feast on Saturday. Camp store was small but well-stocked and there was a snack bar that served breakfast and lunch items as well as ice cream. Pool was clean but just a bit cold. It got colder during the week as the weather was fairly cool at night. Free wifi, adequate if slightly old playground, small arcade, pay laundry room - this place pretty much has it all. If I had any one complaint it would be about the trees that drip sap. By the end of the week our cars and camper were covered with a thin coating of sticky tree sap. Of course I don't hold this against the campground unless they're able and unwilling to remove and replace all the trees. Overall this is a great campground. Whenever we go back to Gettysburg this is our home base.
