I had to move to Pirateland after spending two weeks at Ocean Lakes as there was a snafu with our reservations for the three weeks we were to stay in Myrtle Beach.  We were originally supposed to stay at Lakeland Camping Resort.

Had I not stayed at Ocean Lakes I most likely would have thought this place was great it has a lot of offer with a great pool area my favorite part of the park was the lazy river.  Picture me with a margarita floating around the river in a raft aaaaaaaah.

The park as a well stocked camp store with laundry no drop off :( service.   A miniature golf area and ocean front access which was very nice.  The only problem was that the park was built in 1966 and has not been updated since.  everything was very old and not that well kept up.  This included the 2000 seasonal camper sites.  I am sure that they has some pull through sits but I did not see them.  I had to park my neighbors camper as the site they assigned us was very tight. ( see post about neighbors)

All in all this is a nice park the staff was great  maybe even nicer than the staff at Ocean Lakes.  I recommend staying there as long  as you stay there first.

Wow,

We actually plan on going to this campground on our next trip down    It looks really nice from the pictures LOL    I think I can picture ME floating around down the lazy river :)   Needless to say we might try both places but be sure to stay at this one first :)
