For you camping purists out there this place is not a campground. This is a vacation resort. In fact once you set up your camper there is no reason to every leave again. This campground has everything you could every want. There are two pools one indoor a very nice town center which has a cafe, a very well stocked store, outdoor amphitheater with community fire pit and a laundry mat that even has drop off service. All sites are pull through and very large in fact you could have placed another camper between most sites. The bath houses were very clean and large with an unlimited supply of hot water. Did I mention that this is an ocean front resort with great beach access! The staff was very friendly and mad my stay carefree. I highly recommend staying here if you should ever be in the area. I spent two weeks here and can't wait to go back.
Did I tell you how big this place was? There are over 900 transient camping sites and just under 3000 permanent sites many of which people have erected lavish summer homes.

I guess I'm just wary of someplace that doesn't list their prices on their webpage. You know, the old "if you have to ask you can't afford it" thing.

OK, couldn't find the rates when I was looking before. It's pricey but it seems nice. Could be worth a look IF we ever go down that direction.

My wife and I are just getting into camping again with our ids and we having been doing our annual vacation in Myrtle Beach. We checed out Ocean Laes last year and I agree with everything said above. They gave us a 2 hour pass to drive around the whole place to check it out and we loved it. We loved it so much we came back the next day and my wife went in and got a two hour pass and we took the kids to the pool there :-P
