So we stayed at this campground Rondout Valley in Accord NY.......

In all fairness the place was not bad...wasn't great either but the shame of it is ...it could be!  It has great potential they just need to maintain a little better and upgrade a bit here and there and it would be nice.

Here is my overview of how I saw it......

the one bath house near the back deluxe type cabins and seasonal homes looked fairly new and nice / clean.  We were not lucky enough to get the deluxe cabin (being we booked late and it was july 4th weekend) so we had a standard cabin which should really be called the rustic cabin.  It was a queen bed with a in bad shape matress :) and a set of bunkbeds with if possible worse matresses. LOL THAT WAS IT........for the price...82.50 a night was way to much for this cabin...especially since other friends had a deluxe and they had a full refrig / stove / full bathroom/ loft tv bed AIR CONDITIONING ceiling fan and more for 100 pn (the high price was due to again the holiday but I think 30-40 for this cabin is well in the range of what it should cost...just my opinon. It was VERY SMALL maybe a 10x10 space?? maybe smaller nonthing else would fit in it ....oh except a small little bench between the queen bed and bunk beds (it doubles as table or chair LOL. ) It was clean in the sence it was not bad...but who ever cleans them needs to take the broom and clear a few cobwebs here and there. Over all not bad (other then matress thank god we brought our air matress and used that. It had two resin plastic chairs on the little porch area ...but when we got there no picnic table or firering we had to get someone to bring it. Our screen had a rip in it also which meant no open window with no air....when we said something about it they did come and replace it right away.  I honestly think that they really never use these cabins except maybe holiday weekends...there was one other one and it wasn't even rented. They are in a separate little loop on the far left and there are a few tent/popup small campers sites there as well. The bathroom in this area could use some major updating...it wasn't dirty but would appear so because it was old if that makes sence.  The only soap dispenser in the ladies room was sitting on the sink so you could move it from sink to sink to use it and there were only three small showers and right at the door when you walked in.....which I found strange they are usually in the back of the bathroom.....with the door open all the time as it is a screen door if you weren't careful someone could see you in the first shower stall  The sites in this section could use some clean up as well there are a few areas that are over grown a bit...again not horrible but noticiable.  It was almost like this section was not attended to much.

Pool was huge....90 meters....very nice area near it was great, clean, ...shuffleboard/ tennis and horseshoes.....volleyball court .....nice pavillion.

They had lots of sites.... very big place 328 in all some being park model homes and all well kept up ...some were really nice with ponds and all..... but some of the camping sites are really close I like a little breathing room. The store well stocked and staff pretty friendly.    Our other friends RV site was nice with a nice babbling brook behind them too...we hung out there or the deluxe cabin area mostly so it wasn't bad but if I had to stay again I would not do the standard cabin again.  It seemed very loud to me for a campground but it was packed due to the holiday and the kids on bikes were everywhere and did not look out for cars so you had to be extra extra careful....I love the kids but at 12:15 am they were still in the playground across the way .....I thought that was strange too...and they were little kids who you would usually think would be in bed...or at least inside watching tv or something.

There was even a man that had an electric chainsaw and was chopping wood in his site which made all the lights in our area keep dimming ...LOL

I guess it was just different then what I am usually use to and again it was really crowded.....Over all it was not bad......would I go back again.... probably if we went with friends and had a rv site near the brook area......but there isn't alot to do there in the area so I would not due an extended type of stay there.
