So at the end of last week we all got that great tease with the weather and so I set out to get the Fifth out and get some things done on it.  So I got it out yesterday and checked the tires, cleaned the dust and wood shavings out of the lights and the wife got some clothes and bedding back in.  I woke up today to flurries and a quick coating, but I was not to be detered!  We had  squeak in the bed, everytime you moved it would squaek, the frame was rubbing on the wall and everytime we went to bed my buddies would harass me about if the trailers squeaking, don't come knocking!!  Which is fine and we learned to have fun with it after a trip or two..:qhehehe, but the wife was tired of it, so off came the dormia mattress, took the cover off and lo and behold, nothing in the middle, so I built a nice T-brace and screwed it to the sides.  No more squeak....  So then I found a set of back up lights I had never put on our old rig, we my son(3) and I got them installed under the fifth.  We mounted them on the frame work for the spare tire, high enough not to get hi, and about half way back, so it should light up a BIG area and now I should have satisfactory light for backing up...  They are KC-Hi Lights back ups and appear to be quite bright!!  So then it was off to the front compartment, I bought some "cordpro" holders for the hose and the cable line, they worked awesome and a lot easier to move around and keep neat!  So off to the front generator compartment.. I bought snap tool holders and mounted the kids fishng poles to the wall of the front compartment and mine up on the top.  Those clips are AWESOME!!, for the long poles I used a white cup holder to hold the tip.  So all in all a great productive day getting ready for the 8' snow thats coming.  Now my only big project is get 110 in the front genny companrment for the fridge that is now running on 12v, I could leave it on 12v but like the fact it switches to 110 when available.  I figure when we de-winterize and while the front cabinet is cleaned out, I will run my electric...:)

So any one else getting the bug?

i'm happy all my little projects are almost done and we're looking to a great year.:)

When i got home from work yesterday, i ordered the Cipa custom mirrors off Amazon...$42 + free shipping.  According to UPS they deliver today! :)

I also plan on putting backup lights on...but that has to wait for warmer weather...

I still have one joint, one roof vent and tv antenna to eterna-tape up.  Did the other spots last fall.

I'm thinking i may need to replace the manual tongue jack...as twice last year i would wind it up but the foot never left the ground...:x  Its original so i guess its about time...unless it can just be "serviced"...:?

Sounds like you have some work to do. My fingers were numb the other day doing it befor eit snowed, but we had fun doing it. Nothing like a kid on a creeper, me on a creeper and a 120lb dog in the mix under the trailer! Our old travel trailer had the power jack.. IT WAS AWESOME. Don't know if thats in the budget, but it was sweet.

we spent the weekend cleaning out the front compartment, re-organizing, taking out stuff we don't use.  I put hooks up to hang the cord pros on the walls inside and out of the way.  used some bulb crates that stack up nicely to hold my other junk, so it's confined.  Amazing what a difference a simple tupperware filled with adapters and hose items makes.  finished my gutter extensions, so besides de-winterizing, we're ready to go!  May head out to the local county park for a quickie on friday...:)
