Hello Everyone!

Just think only a few more months of the cold stuff and I can wax and get the camper ready!!

Currently we have a Black Lab mixed with a Rottweiler, he is more lab than Rott., but he is good with the kids.  Most people consider him a Lab since he doesn't have the tan markings are a Rottweiler, but he is built like one.

Our friend has a 10 month old Rottweiler and I am considering getting him, but has anyone had any problems with any camp ground not accepting them.

THanks in advance,

Dan

YES.....I can tell you this from experience Most campgrounds will not allow them or home owners insurance because they are not coverable
If you have a dog that is 50% or more of any of the deemed aggressive breeds most places will not allow them due to insurance reasons.

Homeowners insurance will not insure you either unless they exclude animal liability all together (statefarm is one of them that in some states will as they don't cover for it) which means basically they will cover you because they don't cover the animal so if they were ever to bite someone...you may as well give your home or a big bunch of money to whoever they bit cause they won't pay a penny.
If they do cover you for it then there are a list of what they deem aggressive breeds (and this varies with company but for the most part the dogs below are on their list almost always) they will not cover your home and can also NOT PAY your claim if they find out you have one of these dogs or they will drop you like a hot potato if they find out you have one....(I know this because I am an insurance agent) oh and by the way....the same holds true for trampolines for the kids if you got one ...get rid of it!! or check with your insurance because most do not allow them they are one of the #1 reasons for home claims and also Diving boards (and many slides in the pool are a no no too) most people don't think about these things when they get them not relizing they are a big issue but they are and some don't find out till they have a claim and its denined and the comapny won't pay it.
List+
Pit bulls (american / or the english version Staffordshire terriers)
Rottweilers
Dobermans
German shepard (yes they are on the list) believe it or not
Akita's
Canis Presnario (man I spelled this wrong)
Chow Chows
Mastiffs (only some companies)
there are a couple others i'm drawing a blank right now (like a couple that are really pitbull and they call them a type of hound )like Catahula and another
