Well, we are almost packed for vacation.  We are leaving tomorrow as soon as my hubby finishes at work.  Hopefully he will be able to get out early.  We are heading to Virginia tomorrow, staying at American Heritage RV Park, keeping  our fingers crossed that it is a nice place.  We are planning to visit Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg while we are there.  Then on Wednesday, we are on our way to Fort Whaley Family Campground just outside of Ocean City, Maryland.  We have stayed here several times, so we know what to expect.  We will be making our first trip across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.  That should be interesting!!  We are thinking of taking our time and possibly making a stop at one of the rest stops along the way...I guess it will depend on the weather and traffic that day.

We had a great time...Although I would never plan a vacation that way again. It was entirely too hectic having to travel in the middle of the week like that. If we had not planned it that way this year, we would have missed out on Virginia entirely. We had originally planned on a week long vacation in VA in June, but my girls had lots going on with softball, so we had to cancel. We were not sure we were going to get to go at all until last minute, when we decided to do a few days before our scheduled Maryland trip.

Anyway, American Heritage was nice. Sites were a bit close, but they were all concrete with concrete pads. Wi-Fi throughout the cg. A beautiful newly remodeled bathroom. Clean facilities. I would recommend this campground if you plan on vacationing in the Williamsburg, VA area.
