I just might have to.  This relationship with the new host is not starting out very well.  At least FFCC is still up.

This is getting pretty ridiculous I guess I will have to start looking for yet another hosting company.

why couldn't you use godaddy again?

I thought hosting was hosting and all your doing is paying for server storage.

It is hosting is hosting. But I needed someone that knew what the were doing to move the site. Godaddy would not do that for me.

BTW I just saw your comment about a custom 404 page and I would love to do that but he shut down the server so I have no access to the site at all. :(

I can't remember what you told me. What program language does the site use to transfer files? PHP, SQL, FTP, there's others too. I use FTP and was very worried to upload the files. I used their support forum and someone there helped me by introducing me to a program called filezilla. I open it, access my account through the server, then I can see everything that is on my site. Not sure if this work for you but it maybe worth a look.

When they do get it fixed, why don't you invite he or she to go camping with us one time. I can bet they wont let this happen again to us.

Jimmy you are talking about the IT guy and his family right? If not, you got me totally lost.

BTW.......does any of the regular members for Fireside ever come on here? I haven't met the first one yet.

I use ftp to transfer files.  But since the server is turned off there isn't anywhere to transfer them too.  :(

Greg, if you have the website backed up on your computer. I can create a folder in my site and see if we can upload it. If it works, then you will know that you can get it online using a different hosting company. If we can't do it, then I can just erase the folder. No harm no foul.

Just a thought!!!!

Hey that's not a bad idea.  There is a bit more to it than just uploading the backup.  I can do that on the now closed embroidery site.  That way if I really screw something up there is no chance that I ruined your family site.
