We're going to try and make it to Yogi Bear CG in Elmer June 20-23. We'll most likely be in the rally field.

We did have a trip planned for 19-22 to Killens Pond in DE but we had to cxl yesterday due to hubby being called out of town to Princeton for four days :(

Now we are gonna try to make the samboree for 27 and 28 then head out on 29th for Niagara Falls but its not looking good for 7 and 28th either since he is so busy with work right now and with us leaving for a week already I don't think they would be happy if we told them we we leaving again for a few days here and there right now

We will definitly be heading out several trips toward the end of july and when ever in august just haven't desided where yet.   We are hoping to meet up with some folks from here if we can coordinate it and anyone is going somewhere.

Yeah, I saw Joel a few years ago too at the Wachovia Center in Philly with the same friend. Great show. This one promises to be really good too. Gonna spend the day in the park riding the coasters and then hit the show at night. seats in on the floor of the stadium about 20 rows from the stage. If you like, I'll give a report of the concert after the fact as well as the campground.

Just be sure to bring your earplugs for Highmeadow!!  There is a highway on one side and the train tracks are within feet of the cg and they rumble through all day and all night long!!  We stayed there in 2003 and will not go back.  It is nice because they provide free non-stop shuttle service to and from the park, but it is very noisy and the sites are pretty tight.  But I'm sure the park and concert will be a blast!!

Locust Lake is our favorite state park...We like going during the week when it is quiet!!  We did lots of state parks in the past, but now that the kids are getting older, they think they are "boring".  This year we only went to Hickory Run over Memorial Day weekend.

Haven't been to hickory Run for a while. I checked on line but since we bought our toy hauler the height and length really limit us. There really aren't any sites we can use. Oh well just go somewhere else.

Don't rely on the online reservations...There are definitely sites you could fit with almost any size camper.  They put in more electric sites and one of the loops is relatively open.  We had booked for Memorial Day last summer...In March we got a letter that they were "rehabilitating" the sites and we would no longer fit in our reserved site.  My sister took a ride to the cg and found out that they did not do anything!!  We actually had a really big, nice site.  I would stay in that one again.

Yeah, I've read up on the place. Sleeping Wednesday night might be a problem, but after the park and the show on Thursday I'll be dead to the world.

At least you are prepared!!  We did not know how bad it was until we stayed there.  They told us that the train stops at night, but they lie!!  lol...I'm sure you'll have a great time, train or no train!!

We stay at Highmeadow every couple of years for our annual family camp reunion. And we always wind up in the "overflow" area where you can actually count the cars...which we have done. Unless you are a very light sleeper you'll get used to it pretty fast...

They DO run all night...they are freight trains not passenger trains...so they run slow thru there.

Have fun.

Well like I said, it's supposed to be a relaxing time for me and a buddy. So I'm not likely to get upset about something that I'm aware of beforehand. Besides, good company overrides bad environment.

I put the fan on and no train noise. In my opinon once you see/hear them once it's done. It's like a grey noise.

We were in the Woodland section between the entrance road and the cornfield. While we could hear the train when we were outside, in the camper with the A/C on we were oblivious. Nice campground if you've never been there BTW.
