I guess I'll introduce myself now. My name is Todd. My wife's name is Debbie and we have an 8 yo son named Kenny. We fairly new to camping. We've had our TT for about two months. We've made one trip so far to Jellystone in Elmer NJ and we'll be going back there shortly. (I'll post the dates on the calender when I know for sure) I belong to so many of these boards I'm starting to loose track of them all. But this board seems like it's a good one. And it's local too. That's the main reason I joined. I would love to meet some fellow campers around the area. See ya on the flip side.

If your interested pics of our rig are here. http://mysite.verizon.net/wirenutt/

I want to know about any good sites in NJ so let me know.

When you say Ft. Wilderness I assume you mean Frontier Town.  In July it can be crazy.  We have only gone once during the "Season", and it was pretty crowded, and a-lot of Golf Cart Traffic.  We always heard complaints about it a Pirateland, which we have no problem with, but we thought it and the kids where a little out of control at Frontier Town.  We always go late spring or early fall to avoid the rush.  The water park is nice.

We like Big Timber Lake in Cape May County - Love riding around the corner to the Cape May County Zoo (FREE - we give donation).  We have heard good things about Beachcomber, but have never stayed there.  We also have friends that like a campground in elmer, but we have never stayed there.

Yes meant frontierland LOL...corrected it......we figured it would be crazy but its the first time my newphew has ever camped/fished or any of that and we wanted to take him somewhere fun that he would really like. We thought he would think the horses were cool at beach (assatuegue) and the campground would be fun so .......  I would like to try big timber lake to pasted it in our travels and would like to check that out.

I'm Don. Wife Bonnie and I just purchased our first camper. Had been tent campers for many years but can't take sleeping on the ground anymore, getting old I guess. Anyway, we became foster parents last October and thought it was time to get back into the camping lifestyle. So now it's the two of us, our 23y/o daughter and our four foster children (3B/1G) in our used 1999 HTT whenever we can get out to the CG.We're in south Jersey and will be camping mostly local at least for this year.

Hello, saw the link on RV.net and figured what the heck. My wife and I have three kids (13, 5 and 4) plus one dog. We just bought our HTT this past March and have gone just to local trips. We live in good ole Schuylkill County which is in NE PA. We have gone to Rosemount Camping Resort and Twin Grove KOA. We have planned a nice trip to Ocean City, MD and Niagara Falls on the Canada side -eh.

One spot we like in south Jersey is Sea Pirate. Nice place friendly people and always something going on... Used to go to Butterly but they have gone overboard on seasonals and catering to them and their per night charge is a little high for the attitude they deliver with it. I heard Pomona(new owners) is cleaned up and getting to be nice.

I was wondering about that pomona one that is right down the road from us and we were thinking of trying it out for a two week stay so hubby can go to work still from there when he has to during the week.  We are trying to deside on something within about 10-15 miles of home so he isn't to far for work purposes

Dave and his wife Jennie were partners in Sea Pirate and decided to go out on their own. REALLY nice couple. They know the business, my understanding is that 10 40yard dumpsters of stuff were hauled out.

Hello, my name is Scott...and I am a camper.  :)

Also found this site thru RV.net...

Wife and I have 2 daughters 9 & 6..

We've been camping for 11 yrs in tents and just last year bought a used TT...needs some work...but price was right.

First I've heard about the Samboree...my s-i-l lives in Buena...in fact, if im not mistaken can see the Site from her house...she is on Irene Ave...unfortunately, i dont think the TT will be quite ready to go by then...doing some roof repairs now...gotta tape up all the seams.

But enough of my issues...

we've been wanting to find places close to home to camp...and this looks like the place to find them.  :):)

Ft Wilderness is the campground at Disney....
Frontier Land is one of the sections inside Magic Kingdom, with Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse and Jungle Cruise...
Frontier Town is campground in MD.
